Gateway Regional Center

Gateway Project Areas:
Gateway Transit Center - Phase II-IV

The overall master plan for the Gateway Transit Center will transform an approximately five-acre surface park and ride lot into a signature mixed-use development that will boost transit ridership, provide employment near transit, provide a catalyst for further area development, provide more public open space to serve the site and vicinity, and provide well-designed development at envisioned urban densities.

Upon complete build-out, which will likely occur over 10-20 years, Gateway Transit Center is envisioned to include approximately:

The project's first phase was completed in the fall of 2006 and included a three-story medical office building, shared parking garage, and enhanced public spaces.

Gateway Transit Center Future Phases

Phase II — The project’s second phase is anticipated to occur sometime between 2007-2012 and will include vertical expansion of the structures constructed in the first phase:

Phase III — The project’s third phase is anticipated to occur between 2010-2021, depending on the strength of the development market, and will include:

Phase IV — The project’s fourth phase is anticipated to occur in the event that a light rail connection is built from the Gateway Transit Center to Clark County, Washington, approximately 20 years from today and include:

This is the second general meeting (in a series of 5 meetings) of the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) which is comprised of community volunteers with a wide range of experience and community-wide vision.  Work from this session will guide the design and project staff as the park project progresses.
