Oregon Convention Center:
Lloyd District
100 NE Multnomah
The Portland Development Commission (PDC) has been working with StarTerra, LLC to redevelop PDC-owned Blocks 47 and 49 in conjunction with adjacent property owned by StarTerra, LLC, into a 4-acre mixed-use development. This project is located directly north of the Oregon Convention Center, adjacent to the Rose Garden Arena and proposed Headquarters Hotel, and at the crossroads of MAX light rail and the planned Portland Streetcar Loop. StarTerra, LLC anticipates constructing the project in two phases.
Phase I will be located on Block 49, adjacent to Interstate 5 between NE Multnomah Street and NE Holladay Street. Known as 100 Multnomah, the building is envisioned to be a 19-story 350,000 gross square foot Class A office tower designed to achieve LEED Gold certification and include 450 parking stalls, a bike hub, and ground floor retail. The design for the building has been approved by the Portland Design Commission.
Phase II, which includes Block 47 and the developer’s property, is still being refined, but will likely consist of residential and retail uses, with a portion focused on entertainment venues, and a managed structured parking garage. PDC and StarTerra, LLC signed a Disposition and Development Agreement in August 2008, and the project is anticipated to begin construction in 2011.
