PUBLIC INVITED TO PROVIDE INPUT IN SELECTING
NEW PDC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
PDC Board of COmmissioners host special meeting for public input

Members of the public are invited to attend a special meeting on Monday, June 6, 2005, to give the community an opportunity to provide comments to the PDC Board of Commissioners regarding the standards, criteria and policy directives that the PDC Search Committee should consider in hiring a new PDC executive director. The meeting will begin at 6 PM in the Commission Room, 222 NW Fifth Avenue. The office is located on the downtown transit mall and easily accessible by bus and light rail. The PDC Board convened the Executive Search Committee in April 2005 to recruit and review candidates for the Executive Director position. The Committee is also responsible for interviewing and recommending finalist candidates to the PDC Board of Commissioners by mid-June 2005. Donald Mazziotti, the current Executive Director, will be leaving the position on July 1, 2005. PDC Board of Commissioners is scheduled to vote on the recommendation at its regularly scheduled meeting on June 22, 2005.

The Search Committee will hold an executive session on June 7, 2005, to review resumes. This meeting is closed to the public, although representatives of the news media may attend. During the week of June 13, opportunities for the public to meet the Executive Director finalists will be provided. Time and place of these forums will be available at a future date.
