Storefront Improvement Program
River District

Storefront Project in River District
The John Paul Fuller building is a successful Storefront Improvement project
project in the River District. Building improvements include new windows,
     paint, lighting and steel canopies.

The Storefront Program was designed to assist property and business owners to rehabilitate their storefronts and revitalize neighborhood commercial areas.

Business/property owners located in designated areas of the River District URA may be eligible to receive a storefront matching grant of up to $20,000 to assist with rehabilitation projects.

The 50/50 matching grant is paid upon completion of pre-approved applicant-paid work.

Some of the eligible items for improvement include gutters and downspouts, canopies and awnings, painting and masonry cleaning, windows and doors, exterior lighting, signs and graphics.

The Program also provides up to 30 hours of free architectural assistance to help design a new storefront or assist in recommending new lighting or paint colors.
